Watercolor in the Park is a plein air painting session for residents and visitors of Newark, NJ. The program is in its 4th year and provides a relaxing and therapeutic resource located in the heart of the city. Patrons can enjoy relaxing in an outdoor setting creating original pieces of art using the landscape as their reference or simply from their imaginations. The workshops are Free to the public and is the 1st of its kind in the city. The sessions are a summer resource for kids, adults, seniors and people living with disabilities who are looking for relaxing outdoor activities while enjoying the summer weather and exploring their imaginations. The program partners with Military Park association and plans to expand to Riverfront Park this year to provide a broader access to art resources across the downtown demographic.
